The LPC Photography Program's facilities consist of
both digital and traditional film photography work areas and equipment. A
large Mac-based computer lab with 30 machines is utilized for class and student
lab work. A traditional "wet" darkroom with 21 enlarger stalls for
exploring hands-on printing and alternative processes is utilized for various
classes. Film and flat bed scanners are available to students for
projects. The photographic lighting studio includes strobe lighting,
backdrops, shooting tables, reflectors and other assorted light modifiers for
photographing portraits, fashion, product shots, still lives and
other conceptual work.
Additionally, students are taught to matte and mount their finished
prints for both portfolios, exhibition on-campus and in professional
photography exhibitions.
